Westhaven Park Phase II:
This project contained
two noncontiguous parcels consisting of approximately 8 acres in total.
Scheduled to be a variable income-housing complex, the privately developed site
required demolition and total reconstruction of a former Chicago Housing
Authority (CHA) low income-housing complex. Site design consisted of new
parking lots, grading, storm water detention and major utility design and
coordination.
Westhaven Park Infrastructure required preparation of Construction Documents
for eleven residential streets and eleven alleys. Five of the streets were newly
constructed, four were resurfaced and two were reconstructed. One alley was
reconstructed and ten were new construction. Funded by the Chicago
Department of Transportation (CDOT) this project required Plan and Profile
Design of more than one mile of streets and over a half mile of alleys. New curbs
and gutters along with a complete drainage design were required for this project
