Belmont Cragin

Belmont Cragin is a new elementary school located on a 6 acre site near Grand Avenue and Central Avenue in Chicago. The site design included geometry, grading, draining, paving, utility design, and detailed coordination with the Chicago Public Schools and Public Building Commission, multiple city agents, multiple design team members and several utility owners. Storm water detention was provided through a series of oversized pipes and rain gardens. Work was designed to maintain access to existing parking for Hansen Stadium, located immediately north of the new school.
